Cell name:
SW480
Other names for the model:
SW-480、SW 480、SW480E
Cell information:
SW480 cells are derived from human colon adenocarcinoma cells. The cells are CSap and rectal antigen 3 negative; keratin positive; the G→A mutation at codon 273 of the p53 gene causes Arg→His substitution at codon 309. C→T mutation leads to Pro→Ser substitution; cellular p53 protein expression levels increase; the expression of oncogenes c-myc, K-ras, H-ras, N-ras, myb, sis and fos is positive. Model information:
1X107 SW480 cells per mouse are mixed with Matri-gel and inoculated into right flank region in NOD SCID mice.
About 9 days post inoculation, the mice can be grouped, with average tumor volumes at 150-250 m3.
The duration of treatment is about 49 days post grouping (when the tumor volumes in the vehicle group reach 2000 m3).
