Information on Cells and Models

Cell name:

NCI-H358

Other names for the model:

H358、H-358、NCIH358

Cell information:

NCI-H358 cells are derived from human non-small cell lung cancer cells. Ultrastructural studies show that the cytoplasm has the characteristic structure of Clara cells. The cells express the protein and RNA of the main lung surface binding protein SP-A. SP-B and SP-C are not expressed.

Model information:

5X106  NCI-H358 cells per mouse are mixed with Matri-gel and inoculated into right flank region in NOD SCID mice.

About 6 days post inoculation, the mice can be grouped, with average tumor volumes at 150-250 m3.

The duration of treatment is about 27 days post grouping (when the tumor volumes in the vehicle group reach 2000 m3).
