Cell name:
HT-29
Other names for the model:
HT29、HT 29
Cell information:
HT-29 cells are derived from human colon cancer. The cells can synthesize IgA, CEA, TGFβ-binding protein and mucin. They express urokinase receptor, but no plasma zymogen activity is detected. They do not express CD4, but the cell surface Expresses galactosylceramide (a possible alternative receptor for HIV). This cell line is positive for oncogenes c-myc, K-ras, H-ras, N-ras, Myb, sis, and fos; the p53 gene is overexpressed, and a G→A mutation occurs at codon 273, resulting in Arg→His replace.
