Cell name:
HT-29
Other names for the model:
HT29、HT 29
Cell information:
HT-29 cells are derived from human colon cancer. The cells can synthesize IgA, CEA, TGFβ-binding protein and mucin. They express urokinase receptor, but no plasma zymogen activity is detected. They do not express CD4, but the cell surface Expresses galactosylceramide (a possible alternative receptor for HIV). This cell line is positive for oncogenes c-myc, K-ras, H-ras, N-ras, Myb, sis, and fos; the p53 gene is overexpressed, and a G→A mutation occurs at codon 273, resulting in Arg→His replace. Model information:
3X106 HT-29 cells per mouse are mixed with Matri-gel and inoculated into right flank region in BALB/c Nude mice.
About 9 days post inoculation, the mice can be grouped, with average tumor volumes at 150-250 m3.
The duration of treatment is about 25 days post grouping (when the tumor volumes in the vehicle group reach 2000 m3).
