Cell name:
OVCAR-3
Other names for the model:
OVCAR3、Ovcar-3、OVCAR.3、NIH:OVCAR-3、NIH:Ovcar-3、NIH:OVCAR3、NIH-OVCAR-3、NIHOVCAR3、OVCAR3、Ovcar3
Cell information:
OVCAR-3 cells are derived from human ovarian adenocarcinoma cells. This cell carries estrogen and androgen receptors. It has certain resistance to doxorubicin, cisplatin, and (L-)phenylalanine mustard, and is suitable for drug resistance research on ovarian cancer. OVCAR-3 chromosome number is in the subtriploid range. Click to view More information.
Model information:
1X107 OVCAR-3 cells per mouse are mixed with Matri-gel and inoculated into right flank region in NOD SCID mice.
About 30 days post inoculation, the mice can be grouped, with average tumor volumes at 150-250 m3.
The duration of treatment is about 26 days post grouping (when the tumor volumes in the vehicle group reach 2000 m3).
