SK-OV-3 cells are human ovarian adenocarcinoma cells. The cells are resistant to tumor necrosis factor and several cytotoxic drugs, including diphtheria toxin, cisplatin, and doxorubicin. 5X106 SK-OV-3 cells per mouse are mixed with Matri-gel and inoculated into right flank region in BALB/c Nude mice.
About 27 days post inoculation, the mice can be grouped, with average tumor volumes at 150-250 m3.
The duration of treatment is about 33 days post grouping (when the tumor volumes in the vehicle group reach 2000 m3).
