Cell information:

SK-OV-3 cells are human ovarian adenocarcinoma cells. The cells are resistant to tumor necrosis factor and several cytotoxic drugs, including diphtheria toxin, cisplatin, and doxorubicin. Tumor formation in nude mice resulted in the formation of moderately differentiated adenocarcinomas consistent with ovarian carcinoma orthotopic. Click to view More Information.


Model information:

5X106  SK-OV-3 cells per mouse are mixed with Matri-gel and inoculated into right flank region in BALB/c Nude mice.

About 27 days post inoculation, the mice can be grouped, with average tumor volumes at 150-250 m3.

The duration of treatment is about 33 days post grouping (when the tumor volumes in the vehicle group reach 2000 m3).
