Liver Cancer Model

Liver cancer animal models are important tools for studying the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of liver cancer. Transplant models refer to animal models established by transplanting malignant transformed cells, precancerous lesions or tumor cells, and tissues into experimental animals. According to the source of the transplant, transplant animal models can be divided into syngeneic animal models and xenograft animal models.

The effectiveness of liver cancer animal models is usually evaluated from the following three aspects: face validity, construct validity, and predictive validity. In addition, the stability, repeatability of the model, and whether it can reflect the full picture of human diseases need to be considered. For example, whether the model can simulate the process of liver cancer, including the early, middle, and late stages of liver cancer. In general, a good liver cancer animal model should show high validity in all of the above aspects.
