In Vivo PK

       Dog PK study is a commonly used method in PK research, which can help us understand the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion processes of drugs in dogs. In this experiment, researchers will inject or orally administer drugs to dogs, and then collect blood or tissue samples at different time points to measure drug concentrations. By analyzing the changes in drug concentration over time, researchers can calculate the absorption rate, bioavailability, half-life and other important parameters of the drug, providing important basis for drug development.  

       As a commonly used experimental animal, the physiological and metabolic characteristics of dogs are similar to those of humans, and therefore the results of dog PK experiments can provide an important reference for human drug development. However, compared to humans, dogs still have differences in physiology and metabolism, so the results of dog PK experiments cannot be directly generalized to humans.  In addition, dog PK experiments require professional skills and equipment, and the cost is high.
