In Vivo PK
  Mouse PK

DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) is an important part of the drug development process. It includes the study of the processes of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs in the body, as well as the corresponding kinetic studies. PK (Pharmacokinetics) is a part of DMPK that focuses on the study of drug concentration over time, most commonly the kinetics of plasma concentration or plasma free concentration, which is used to guide the design of initial drug doses.

In preclinical DMPK studies, mouse PK experiment is a common research method, which can help us understand the process of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion in mice. The advantage of this experiment is that it can provide important information about the dynamic changes of drugs in the body, which provides basis for drug development. However, it also has some disadvantages, such as the need to use a large number of animals, and the results may be affected by individual differences in animals. In addition, there are physiological and metabolic differences between mice and humans, so the results of mouse PK experiments cannot be directly generalized to humans.
